Job Description

Job Summary:

The Supervisor, Pharmacy assist the Pharmacy Manager and the staff of the SelectRx division by ensuring operational measures are obtained. This position helps support the management or the pharmacy staff, both internally and externally.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervises departmental personnel including:
    • Orientation
    • Training
    • Monitoring
    • Scheduling and determining workload
    • Delegating assignments
    • Evaluating performance (on an annualized basis or as needed with Pharmacy Manager)
    • Support corrective and disciplinary actions
  • Implements and adheres to all SelectRx policies and procedures
  • Participates and assists in interviewing and evaluation of candidates, while also making recommendations to hire, promote or discipline current associates
  • Coordinates and implements teamwork initiatives
  • Supports quality improvement for the department
  • Responds promptly to patient needs
  • Solicits customer feedback to improve service and assistance
  • Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
  • Participates in team meetings
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities
  • Maintains confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Operated within the professional standards in compliance with Federal, State, Local and Business regulations while enforcing the laws regarding the practice of Pharmacy
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience



  • Active Pharmacist License in current working state


Financial Responsibilities (budget, revenue)

This position has no budget responsibility, authority and/or level of control.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Required to work weekend shift when needed
